My hatred for the filter at work knows no bounds
As of today I can log into my LJ account, but trying to read any version of my friends list is blocked, because of "weighted phrases exceeded".
Yesterday, I was trying to follow links on a new magazine's blog, related to green treatments for small houses (trying to evaluate for possible later subscription), and the link to a contest on a small apartments blog was blocked for the same reason. At that point, I was in the back, and the computer guy was right there, so I protested. He gave his usual mealy-mouthed "We all know Dan's Guardian isn't perfect," but he did go in and hand-set the override so I could read the link. It still had two ads blocked by the filter when I got to the page, but I didn't care about that.
But the idea that ANY of my friends list is unacceptable? There is no excuse, except that Dan's Guardian is completely full of shit.
