Whups!
My favorite local TV news weather guy seems to have been slacking in his offerings to the weather gods lately. Usually he's the most accurate of the three local TV news that I have watched. But last night he said the high winds (check) and heavy rain (check) would be followed by a very small band of snow, that wouldn't actually get here until around noon today.
When I got up at 7:30 to feed the cats, there was heavy, wet snow falling and sticking to the wet bark of the trees, so they looked like they'd been dipped in snow, instead of having it fall on them. It's been snowing off and on all day, enough to be obnoxious (although barely over an inch of accumulation). Also, the temperature has dropped (which he totally got right! Monday, he said, we'd started at midnight with a temperature of 16 degrees, and it got up to 50 during the day. Today, it would start at midnight with almost 50, and drop through the day back down to 16. Oh, Ohio, why must you be so mean to us?).
I had intended to go to the library today to pick up holds I had placed, but I kept looking out at the weather, and finally decided that I was just going to stay in again. BECAUSE I WANT TO AND I CAN.
