Repercussions
Apr. 30th, 2012 04:57 pmSo. The next-day effects of mowing twice yesterday? Woke up with the worst carpal tunnel on my right hand that I can recall. Also, the left hand, with the tendon damage? Stiff and weak, no grasping happening.
Still, both worked out within an hour of exercising and trying not to freak out.
Last night there was light rain, but it cleared off and got hot. I went out around three and started mowing the front yard. Surprisingly, it wasn't my knees that gave me the most misery. Nope, it was my lower back. Shoving the mower up the hill from the street to mow the one side of the yard was just about more than I could manage. I persevered, and got the hardest parts done. But, the mower ran out of gas way sooner than I would have liked. It's not just a bit that didn't get mowed, it's most of the easiest part of the yard.
Right now I'm trying to decide if I can manage to go back out and mow that small area. I have tomorrow off, too, but I know we are supposed to get a lot more rain tonight than last night. I don't want to do myself more damage, but the part that's left really is the easiest- nearly flat, already mowed around the obstacles, so it's just the center section left.
We'll see.
