Still Thursday in my life
Mar. 13th, 2015 12:32 amSaga of 'Bro in Nursing Home' continues. He has a cell phone now (they don't have phones for the patients, so s-i-l reactivated her old-but-still-functional phone) and we are using it to drag him into modern times. Their test call today was to me, and then I called them back so he could practice answering it. Fun!
He said he feels like they're doing well by him, except for one thing. Unfortunately, that is the most important thing, so we are not terribly happy. But, my s-i-l was going to go raise hell about the fact that they are not, in fact, changing the dressing on his legs twice a day. And the night nurse who changed them last did not wrap them like the hospital did, so the dressing on the one leg crept up and exposed one of the sores, to drain down his foot and all over.
In short, I am not convinced he's going to be at that nursing home any longer than the s-i-l can find a bed for him somewhere better.
As for me, I'm feeling super ultra extra stressed, and am not sure why. I'm going to try committing to meditation daily, because my 'uh oh!' indicators are building up, and I really am not willing to find out if I can, in fact, crack a tooth from grinding them, before the TMJ short-circuits things with pain.
