I am not sure if it's the router or the wireless card in my little old notebook computer, but I keep losing my Internet connection, repeatedly. Turning the router off for a few minutes sometimes helps, but it's being less effective as time goes on.

I'm leaning towards the router, because when the notebook doesn't immediately start trying to reconnect, I can find other networks in the neighborhood (all secure, of course, so no help to me). I'm guessing I should go ahead and get a new router, since odds are good I'll need it when I can afford a new desktop. Right now I couldn't put a new desktop in the dining room (where the cable modem lives), so it would have to be wireless-enabled anyway.

But since I am still pending on my retirement, I hate the thought of spending money now that I might need to cover bills in March. Surely OPERS would have me processed by then? Experience says wait, so I guess I'll keep limping along. Ugh.
