monkey5sI subscribed online to a print magazine that I always find myself trying to copy EVERYTHING from when I get it from the library, and don't want to let it go back. This was something I just did a week ago, have not received my first issue yet, of course.
Today I got an e-mail from the editor of said magazine, giving a teaser of what's coming in the next issue, and urging me to be sure not to miss it, so I should renew my subscription today!
One consistent annoyance over the years has been how quickly magazines try to get you to renew. Since I handled the magazine subscriptions at the library, I was always amazed at how much money the publishers threw into bombarding their subscribers with renewal notices, usually starting less than half a year into the subscription. Obviously two weeks is much quicker on the draw, but I do have the comfort of knowing that it did not require actual paper being wasted.
Though I feel certain I will receive my share of those, too.
