Grumpy mail day
Nov. 3rd, 2014 10:02 pmToday's harvest included notice that my homeowner's insurance is jumping $6 per month starting in December, the health insurance issued a detailed notice of charges from my last doctor visit (apparently the done thing is to charge for the flu shot and the pneumonia shot themselves, plus charge a fee for giving you each shot. Guess what the insurance does not cover in full? "Free flu shots" my fat ass!), and the specialist that my doctor's staff contacted to give me the colonoscopy that the insurance company is badgering me about sent notice of the appointment they scheduled, with information on prep. Too bad they didn't contact me about it first. Now I get to play phone tag with the office to reschedule to a time that I might be able to handle five days with no pain medication. Maybe January would work.
I hate, hate, HATE phone work.
And, in a side note, I realized that the complex I prefer to deal with for specialist medical attention has now, due to mergers, ALSO become a "faith-based" medical provider. Which means the only non-religious-horseshit medical facilities anywhere near me are connected with Ohio State University. And not terribly nearby.
