More not-good news

So the vet's wife called me this afternoon to tell me how Singer was doing after the tooth extraction. And the news is, he was pale when I got him in there yesterday, and was showing beginning signs of liver failure- probably a result of the weight loss. So we'll see if extracting the two teeth and packing the sockets with antibiotics helps him rebound, or if the liver failure advances and takes him out.

She called me at work to tell me, as arranged. When she said she'd call me tomorrow with an update, I didn't tell her I was working tomorrow, and she should call me at work. Because, you know, that's not something I'd deal with well when I'm supposed to be working. I do get a sense that this weekend will be the tipping point, for bad or good.
