Seriously unhappy now
Oct. 29th, 2012 07:02 pmGot a call, followed by a visit, from the library's clerk-treasurer this late afternoon.
Seems that, since the accident happened on library property, and I work there, that, legally, it will have to be put through Worker's Comp. I am so upset right now that coherence is iffy. The library pays over $1000 every month (of which I have to pay $200) for Anthem to cover my health insurance. And that, because I had this happen while I was on library property, they will be able to just... DENY EVERYTHING AND PAY ZERO.
Not to mention that this will mean I have to rewrite my retirement application, because one of the questions on it is about having been paid any claims by Worker's Comp. I can only presume Worker's Comp will be reimbursed by my retirement fund. I know FOR SURE that having to do anything through Worker's Comp is difficult, complicated, and expensive for the duration of the process. Last time I heard of a Worker's Comp claim, the person affected was required to attend a hearing in downtown Columbus.
I believe I'm gonna sit here and cry for awhile. I am not up to dealing with this. Not at all.
