We had balmy weather for a week, yesterday it was in the 40's (but raining). Then, as the afternoon wore on into the evening, the rain got nasty, and freezy. We went home at 8:30 last night in almost-freezing temperatures.

Overnight the rain turned to snow, and the wind got very strong, and the temperature dropped down into the teens. The wind-chill was down below zero this morning. I had to be at work at 9:00, and was not happy with the whole snow moving to get to the car, and snow clearing of the car when I got there. I was only five minutes late, though, so I started out nearly early enough.

When I got to work, I backed into my parking space (not something I usually do, but it would be easier, after work, to clear off the windshield that way), and then got out of the car and zipped the front of my coat clear up to the top of the collar.

And, ridiculously, also zipped my LIP into the zipper.

I couldn't believe I did it, and it hurt (as you would expect)- but more than that, I felt like I had a sudden, intense outbreak of STUPID. My only consolation was that I merely gave myself a fat lip, I didn't draw blood.
