I'm done for today

monkey5sYesterday I had to run into Kroger's while I was waiting to pick up the pizza for my birthday, so I just got a cart and got my two items. Easy, no motorized cart needed.
So today, when I dragged myself out to Meijer's, and ended up getting there around noon, and there were no motorized carts available, I decided to tough it out again. It was a day where you got 5% off all groceries if you used your Meijer card, and I didn't want to miss that. Besides, the trade-off with the motorized cart is that, although it is way easier for me, and much faster, the basket is much smaller than a regular shopping cart.
By the time I got back to the cat food, I knew I was going to have to edit my list. So I just got the stuff that was specifically on sale, and the things I was actually almost out of. I cut about half the list out that way. I was barely moving by the time I made it out to the car.
I only brought in the stuff that I needed soon, so the cat litter and toilet paper is still parked in the trunk. But since I had only gotten about four hours of sleep last night, I feel extra-crunchy now, despite sitting here playing online for the past couple of hours.
But, the sun is shining, and it was 55 degrees out there when I was pulling into my driveway at 2:30.
And yet, that does not really explain the fact that I hear someone with their lawn mower running now. Warm it is, but the grass is still BROWN AND DEAD.
