Update: boring

Still haven't started cleaning. Still have all the leaks in the plumbing, plus the leak in the siding/soffit/roof.
Will be calling the furnace place for a check-up and to have them replace the control panel.
Not enjoying the new glasses. My vision issues are lesser with the expensive new lenses (but far from fixed, I have not yet called about the adult vision therapy), but these lenses are rather poorly-made. Plus I have yet to reconcile myself to the loss of peripheral vision from the wide stems on these suckers.
The new blood pressure meds (which I detest) still can't get my upper number lower than about 129, but the lower number has been as far down as 62. Having my own blood pressure monitor is getting less helpful, since I keep forgetting to check it (have to sit for at least 15 minutes before I check, and wait a half hour after eating or drinking). I sit down, remind myself not to take a drink of my water bottle, and then start reading. Get up after an hour to go to the bathroom, sit back down and think, well, crap! Start over!
But tonight? I just finished a bottle of B.O.R.I.S. The Crusher Oatmeal-Imperial Stout, from Hoppin' Frog Brewery in Akron, Ohio (I support nearby craft breweries!). I have never had an oatmeal imperial stout before. It poured like syrup, was so dark brown as to appear nearly black, and had a dark brown head. It was FABULOUS!
Also? I splurged and bought a t-shirt to support Maneki Neko Con (put on by the anime club at Prairie State College, in Chicago Heights, Illinois), which I would not have attended even if I weren't having mobility issues. Their t-shirts were done in the college colors of green and purple on a black shirt, and have a very cute maneki neko on them. It arrived in the mail this week, and I just love it.
