When I was in the library this evening I saw my former boss. I knew he would appreciate it, so I told him that every time I go home after dark, I see the decorations along the covered walkway behind a house on a cross street. They put up those hanging icicle lights, but they did them in red. As I told him, every single time I can't help thinking, 'now, that is a lot of blood on that roof!' He laughed, and said, "Santa better watch out for that one!"

I also told him about the comic I had seen online, and that reminded him that he's thought of a reason for zombies being such a big thing right now. He believes it's because creative people have spent time around very small children. He has five now, the youngest being twin girls who are almost a year old. He said there are certain things that they always want to get into, like the refrigerator. So, whenever he opens the fridge, they come shambling from wherever they were and advance on him. He's trying to get out what he needs and get the door closed, and they're trying to climb up his legs to get to the shelves inside. He said they're not fast, yet, but they are very determined. And to him, the resemblance to zombies is unmistakable!
