Why do I bother, again?

Went to the grocery where last trip the person who was supposed to take off the coupons I gave her had a terrible time getting them to work. And failed to take one of them off, which I hurt too much to deal with, so I just accepted that she was not a good worker. But it was a dollar off. So I was irritated.

Today I went back to that same grocery, different person working to take off the coupons. He shorted me TWO of them, and once again I was physically not able to stand around long enough to protest. He shorted me a total of $2.25. These were all customer reward coupons, which somehow makes me crankier than if they were regular manufacturer's coupons.

As always, I can't help hating coupons. If they really wanted to give us a break, they would LOWER THE PRICES FOR EVERYONE, right? Just... here I am, seething over something so stupid, and yet I can't quite get it out of my system. SO I POST MY DISGRUNTLEMENT FOR ALL TO LAUGH AT ME.

No, I totally get that frustration. My frustration is I keep coupons and then can't remember to use them. And though I keep all my receipts, I don't generally check them like I should because I know that wrong things are often rung up--but I just can't. Life is just too complicated for me to keep up with all of that.


My mom has always been the queen of couponing--and she really has managed to squirrel away a lot of money that way. It's her thing. And she always checks her receipts.
