Really not good

monkey5sI had been waiting, impatiently, for word from the vet about Singer, since they had him back and were going to do surgery on his mouth- yesterday. Nothing. I was in too much pain to pursue it, when I came home from work.
Today I waited until 2:00pm before I called them. Yes, they did surgery, cleaned yet more debris out from around the exposed root of the tooth in question, did a partial root canal and tried to cover up the gaping hole from the abcess. He seemed to be doing OK after the surgery, but today, once again, he would not eat. So they're going to see how he does over another night, but it really doesn't look good.
When I didn't hear from them Saturday, I was trying to brace for the worst. At this point, I just want him not to be hurting anymore. I feel like I've failed him, so very badly. So, if anybody reads this, please send thoughts of comfort and peace to Singer, if you would?
